Dr. Liyong Ren is a full professor in School of Physics and Information Technology at ShaanXi Normal University (SNNU). He completed his Ph. D degree in Optical Engineering at Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 2004. After that, he moved from Northwest University, where he had ever been a teacher since 1995, to Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics (XIOPM) of CAS and worked there as an associate professor from 2004 to 2007, a professor from 2009 to 2019, and the director of the Department of Information Photonics of XIOPM. He had ever been a JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Electro-Communications (UEC) from 2007 to 2009. In 2019 he joined SNNU, where he established the advanced optical imaging (AOI) research group and currently is the director of Xi’an Key Laboratory of Optical Information Manipulation and Augmentation (OMA). His research interests include polarimetric imaging, multispectral imaging, information photonics, etc. He is the committee member of the High-speed Imaging & Photonics Professional Committee of Chinese Optical Society (COS), the committee member of the Holography & Optical Information Processing Professional Committee of COS, and the committee member of the Fiber Optics and Integrated Optics Professional Committee of COS. Also, he is senior members of SPIE, Optica, COS and Chinese Society of Optical Engineering (CSOE).
